Labor Day Weekend & Bacon Brunch!
What better way to say “So long, swimsuit season!” then BACON EVERYTHING!
National Bacon Day this year falls on Labor Day and you all know how much we love our brunch here at Armsby Abbey! So this Labor Day weekend we won’t stop at one day, or even two…. we’ve got 3 days of brunch in the works! Chef’s Damian Evangelous & Sean Dacey have been curing pork belly all month in preparations of an all out bacon feast!
No reservations are required but they are recommended for groups of 6 guests or more. Come early, come late, we’ll be brunching from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday September 3rd - 5th of Labor Day weekend!
Here is a taste of what you can expect at Bacon Brunch ….
Fritters | bacon, smoked pollack, tomato & smoked corn aioli
Grilled Toast | roasted mushrooms, bacon & pepper jam, Cato Corner Farm aged Bloomsday, soft-cooked egg, lemon chive oil
Stuffed French Toast | blackberry jam filling, bacon maple syrup, orange butter
Stout Waffle | bacon & peach compote, bourbon mascarpone
NOTE: an alternative item is available for children under 12 years of age
Breakfast Pizza | bacon bechamel, roasted apples & onions, bacon fat confit chicken, chimichurri, soft-cooked egg
Bacon & Beef Hash | roasted potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, & kale, smoked corn puree, lemon chive oil, soft-cooked egg
Quiche | bacon, grilled squash, roasted peppers, tomatoes, smoked gouda, chives, side of dressed greens with a bacon-thyme vinaigrette
NOTE: a limited supply of vegetarian quiche will also be available
Bacon Sandwich | bacon cured pork shoulder, bacon & pepper jam, braised greens, clothbound cheddar, a fried egg, ale roll, side of dressed greens with a bacon-thyme vinaigrette
